L'Oréal Women's International Day Cocktail Masterclass

For Women's International Day, L'Oréal wanted to create a memorable experience for the women of their headquarters team—an opportunity to step away from the office, relax together and enjoy something interactive and different.

Hoochin' was invited to deliver a private cocktail masterclass at The Bull, Westfield London, creating a relaxed and engaging afternoon centred around cocktails, conversation and team connection.

The Brief

With a smaller group of 15 guests, the focus was on creating a more personal and hands-on experience where everyone could get involved.

Rather than choosing from a fixed menu, the L'Oréal team selected the cocktails they wanted to learn, and we built the experience around their choices.

The final menu featured three classic cocktails:

• Paloma – a refreshing tequila-based cocktail with bright citrus flavours

• Margarita – a timeless classic showcasing the perfect balance of sweet, sour and spirit

• Aviation – a beautiful gin cocktail with floral notes and a distinctive character

To welcome guests, we served our signature Gin & Raspberry Spritz, giving everyone a drink in hand as they arrived and settled into the session.

Delivering in a New Venue

Every venue brings its own challenges, and The Bull at Westfield was no exception.

The event space was located on the fourth floor, with only two floors having elevator access. Despite the logistical challenge, our team planned carefully and delivered the experience seamlessly.

With just two Hoochin' team members managing the entire event, we completed the load-in, transported all equipment and ingredients into the venue, built the cocktail stations and then went on to host the full masterclass.

For a group of 15 guests, we created an intimate but professional setup using three mobile cocktail bars, ensuring everyone had plenty of space to participate while still receiving personal guidance throughout the session.

The Experience

The afternoon combined cocktail education, hands-on bartending and plenty of laughter.

Our mixologists guided guests through each recipe, sharing techniques, cocktail history and professional tips along the way. From shaking and stirring to balancing flavours and presentation, guests learned the skills behind some of the world's most recognisable cocktails.

Everyone was encouraged to get involved, making each drink themselves while our team provided support, advice and plenty of entertainment throughout the session.

As always with Hoochin', we finished the experience with our signature cocktail competition.

Guests put their new skills to the test by creating their own cocktails, with our mixologists judging the final creations on presentation, technique and flavour.

The competition brought out the fun and competitive side of the group, providing the perfect ending to the afternoon.
