Understanding the Brief

The organisers wanted to offer guests far more than a standard event bar.

Alongside premium cocktails, they wanted guests to enjoy wine throughout the evening while still having the option of ordering shots. Creating a menu that balanced variety with speed of service was key to making the event successful.

Working closely with the Hunters team, we designed a drinks menu that delivered exactly what guests wanted while allowing our bartenders to maintain an exceptional pace throughout the evening.

Planning for Success

Events of this size don't run smoothly by accident.

Knowing how busy the evening was likely to be, we hand-picked four of our fastest and most experienced bartenders to lead the service. Every member of the team was chosen for their ability to work under pressure while maintaining consistency and quality throughout the night.

We supplied two fully equipped mobile cocktail bars, carefully positioned to maximise efficiency and reduce congestion.

Just as importantly, we worked closely with the venue's waiting staff to build a service system that would keep drinks flowing from the first order until last orders.

Each table was allocated a number, and every waiter or waitress was assigned to one specific bartender throughout the evening. Rather than waiting alongside guests at the bar, the waiting staff collected drink orders directly from their allocated tables before using a simple ticket system to communicate with their dedicated bartender.

Because each waiter worked with the same bartender all evening, communication became faster, smoother and more efficient as the event progressed. The result was a calm, organised service where drinks moved quickly from the bar to guests without unnecessary delays.

The Result

Over the course of six hours, our team produced and served more than 1,100 drinks.

Cocktails, wine and shots were all served continuously throughout the evening while maintaining a consistently high standard of presentation and service.

Despite the exceptional volume, there were no significant queues at any point during the event—exactly the outcome we had planned for.

Guests spent their evening enjoying the charity event rather than waiting for drinks, while the organisers were free to focus on fundraising, entertainment and hosting their guests, confident that the bar operation was running seamlessly.

The Outcome

Running a high-volume charity bar is about far more than making great cocktails—it's about preparation, teamwork and designing systems that allow service to remain fast even when demand is at its highest.

By carefully planning the drinks menu, selecting an experienced team and implementing an efficient service system with the venue staff, we delivered a premium bar experience for 160 guests without compromising speed or quality.

The success of the evening led Hunters to book Hoochin' again for the following year's charity gala, something we consider one of the strongest endorsements any client can give. Furthermore, Hunter had us back again for their design week party.
